On Monday, October 15, 2018, more than 200 persons were recognised for their significant contributions to Jamaica’s nation building at the annual National Honours and Awards ceremony which took place at King’s House in Kingston, Jamaica. The event was hosted by Jamaica’s Governor-General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Sir Patrick Allen.

Grace Jones, recipient of the Order of Jamaica (OJ) for exceptional contribution in the field of entertainment internationally.
Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, recipient of the Order of Distinction (OD) for distinguished contribution in safeguarding the interests of Jamaican nationals in the USA Diaspora on immigration matters.
Beverley Nichols, recipient of the Order of Distinction (OD) for outstanding contribution in the Jamaican Diaspora in New York, United States of America.
